LONDON NEW YEAR’S DAY PARADE!
Leaving Goring before 8am, Daisy and George, two little donkeys from Gatehampton Road, set off for London with their owners Julie and Ann Broadhurst. A lot of grooming took place, especially to George who is supposedly white, but spends most of his time coated in mud. Parking opposite The Ritz in Piccadilly, the donkeys were lined up before joining in the passing parade.
We accompanied ‘The Donkey Breed Society’ which was set up with charity status in 1967. This year they are celebrating their Golden Jubilee after 50 years of improving the lives of donkeys. The parade made its way through London, passing Trafalgar Square, Downing Street and numerous landmarks, such as Big Ben.
It finished in Parliament Square, and we made our way back, stopping off for a few photographs outside Buckingham Palace.
Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and new year! Welcome to the club to the new members who have already joined for 2017 and a polite reminder that renewal are now due, particularly if you are intending to compete at the January dressage or the February SJ qualifier!

An email will follow from Claire about the first dressage training of the year and we have lots of other lessons and activities in the pipeline for you all!
All our training sessions are proving popular this year, so we are continuing through the summer where we would normally have taken a break. Information will be sent out regularly via email and events created on the website calendar and Facebook to keep you all up to date!
Our first camp of 2016 was very successful, at Boomerang Farm with the ever popular Simon Battram in June. We are now looking forward to our three day camp at Boomerang in September, which is currently full with a waiting list! Please contact Emma for more info.
Area Team Events
Some excellent results for TVRC in the Summer season of events – just the L&SE One Day Event left, and then we start again with the Winter Qualifiers in October (Eventer Challenge and both Novice and Intermediate Dressage). Lots of riders qualified for National Finals this year across all the disciplines – well done to all!
