2022 Renewals

Published on 6th January 2022

We now have a much simpler way for you all to rejoin for 2022! If you head over to WebCollect to the TVRC page, you will find a section called Membership, and it should be fairly self explanatory from there on!

https://webcollect.org.uk/tvrc

As always, we would like to say a huge thank you to those amongst you who have helped at events etc this year – if you haven’t managed to get the helper hours logged for whatever reason this year please ensure you sign up for one of the earlier events as places at camp will be subject to people having shown willing to help – obviously if events have been cancelled etc that will be taken into account but there are several events arranged over the first three or four months of 2022 so plenty of opportunity for all! And do ensure that you write down the dates you have volunteered for!!

We hope you all have a super Christmas and look forward to sharing details of some upcoming clinics and events (and CAMPS!!) with you early in the new year

December 2021 Updates

Published on 6th January 2022

Apologies for the radio silence via email for a little while – we tend to update social media more frequently these days so if you aren’t already on the TVRC FB group, do go and add yourself!

Please see the Events page for the January Open Dressage competition – it will (all being well) be the first of our Spring series of three competitions.

In other news, we have been busy behind the scenes with many aspects of the club. Nicki and Jill are working on some new clinic dates and venues, and formats, based upon the feedback we had in our recent survey to members.  More news early in 2022 we hope.  We have also had a HUGE overhaul of the membership database. It has been a mammoth task and massive thanks need to go to Kate R for overseeing it and Alice and Jane for maintaining the lists.

On the note of the committee – obviously we never had the opportunity to hold an AGM in 2021 (thanks COVID), and we have accepted that sadly early 2022 looks no more likely to be conducive to large gatherings in person, therefore we will most likely be arranging a virtual AGM for February 2022 – details to follow.

A message from our Chair

Published on 7th January 2021

Hi All
Well – I had hoped to post a more positive ‘Welcome to 2021’ message, but as you can imagine, we are back to a suspension of all activities at the moment. However we can share some GOOD news.
The committee have thought long and hard about how we can make up for what was a very stop/start year, and we are excited to be able to share that for all returning members in 2021, your renewal fees will be just £16 – which is what we have to send on to BRC for your affiliation – TVRC as a club won’t be charging anything to existing members for renewals in 2021.
We are also waiving the normal initial joining fees for new members this year as well, bringing the cost down to £26. We really hope to be back to a more normal schedule of events as soon as possible, and have loads in the pipeline including a total of FIVE camps through the summer (Dressage, SJ and two main Summer Camps).
We will share dates and details of all of these in due course (not yet for camps I’m afraid as final details need to be sorted) and the renewals forms will also be online soon!
Hope everyone is doing as well as possible given the circumstances!
Emma

Charity Donations

Published on 5th January 2021

Happy New Year to all our members. Every year we like to donate to local charities if we can. I just wanted to let you all know that we have donated £250 each to 3 charities this year – South Bucks RDA, SAFE (Saving Abandoned Fly-Grazing Equines) & St Tiggywinkles. Also a big thanks to those members, who donated their TVRC credits to these charities rather than have their money back. Very much appreciated. I’ve had lovely e-mails back from all 3 charities thanking us hugely for our donations in such a difficult year.

Here’s hoping for a better 2021 when we can all get out and do what TVRC members like to do!

Detailed instuctions will be sent out to all entrants but we will follow the same format as last time.

TVRC Dressage and Coronavirus

Published on 13th March 2020

In light of the current situation regarding Coronavirus – we just wanted to let competitors for next weekend’s dressage know that we are monitoring the situation as are BCA’s event team. We will continue to take entries at present (although we are almost full!) but will update everyone the minute that changes.

However if you have had to self isolate, have had contact with anyone with the infection, or have recently returned from one of the high risk areas, please DO NOT come to the event. Let us know and we will arrange to transfer your entry to an alternate event or refund if preferred.

Thanks for your co-operation!
