Thames Valley Riding Club was formed in 1983 and is based around the Maidenhead area. Today, although our geographical base is the same, we now have members from a much wider area and host events at a variety of venues across the Thames Valley.
Competitions
Ever dreamed of competing with your horse but don’t know where to start? Want to try something new or push yourself to the next level of competition? If you’ve always wanted to try competing or you’re already a seasoned competitor, TVRC is here to help you achieve your goals. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy competition in a friendly and encouraging environment, and we’re passionate about supporting our members every step of the way.
Our popular TVRC dressage and show jumping league competitions at local venues provide the perfect introduction to competing, while those looking to progress further can represent the club at Area 6 and London & South East qualifiers in show jumping, dressage (including freestyle), eventers challenges and one-day events.
Alongside our competitions, our much-loved clinics with experienced and trusted instructors are designed to build confidence, improve skills and help every rider feel prepared to step into the arena. Whatever your ambitions, you’ll find a welcoming team ready to cheer you on and celebrate your successes.
Clinics
Whether you’re looking to improve your dressage, show jumping, pole work or cross-country skills, TVRC offers a varied programme of clinics at a range of excellent venues. Our sessions cater for riders of all abilities, from those building confidence to experienced competitors, with consistent coaching from our trusted and knowledgeable instructors. Above all, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, welcoming and fun atmosphere where members can develop their skills, enjoy their horses and make lasting friendships.
Camps
Our camps are always a highlight of the TVRC calendar and are hugely popular with members. Our main Summer Camp offers three fantastic days of riding, with opportunities to enjoy dressage, pole work, show jumping and cross-country training. Whether you’re an experienced eventer or prefer to stay in the arena, there’s something for everyone and all abilities are warmly welcomed.
Off the horse you’ll be well looked after with delicious cakes, a drink or two and hearty hot meals to enjoy each day. Camps are not only a great way to improve your riding but also a wonderfully friendly and sociable experience, with friends and well behaved dogs welcome to join in the fun.
